An Edible Evening is a garden party under the stars to benefit Edible Schoolyard New Orleans. This spring party features many local restaurants, great drinks, live music, student-made goods, and lots of “edible” touches. All proceeds from the party support garden and culinary education programming at FirstLine Schools.

All of us at Edible Schoolyard New Orleans would like to express our gratitude for the support of edible education we saw at our 10th annual Edible Evening fundraiser on April 4th, 2019.
Thanks to all the restaurants, in-kind donors, sponsors, patrons, guests, and dedicated volunteers, we reached our fundraising goal, all of which goes directly to our program and allows thousands of students at FirstLine Schools to make healthy connections to food and the natural world through gardening and culinary classes that foster empathy, self-confidence, community, and respect for life.

Langston Hughes Academy
Dreamkeeper Garden

An Edible Evening 2020 will take place on Thursday, April 2, in Langston Hughes Academy’s Dreamkeeper Garden, a sensory-evoking, hands-on learning space with goats, chickens, and a pig! Join us and enjoy the kind of culinary delights that make our students aspire to be chefs (and our city famous).

Check back here in fall of 2019 for information on how to become a sponsor, patron, or to purchase a ticket for next year’s event.
